A book enthusiast from childhood, Ryan was constantly reprimanded in elementary school for having a book open under his desk. This behavior fooled his teachers into thinking he was bored by his classwork and possessed some genius level intellect. As a result, he was placed into his school’s advanced learning program. To the chagrin of everybody involved, this backfired horribly as Ryan was no prodigy–he just really liked to read.
As most children who aspire to be authors, Ryan spent hours penning tales of questionable worth but it wasn’t until he was an adult that he decided to buckle down and attempt to write something that was actually worth reading. Whether he’s actually succeeded in doing so… well the jury is still out.
There’s more to this story of course, where Ryan grew up, where he went to school, but let’s face it, you probably don’t care (and to be fair, who would expect you to?) All that’s left to say is that Ryan has completed (to his level of satisfaction) one full novel, and he’s endeavoring to finish more.
